Job Description
The Senior Staff Accountant - Close and Consolidation will play a crucial support role to the Manager - Close and Consolidation.
Responsibilities include:
 Participating in the monthly, quarterly, and annual book close processes, analyzing general ledgers for fluctuations,
and working with the team to develop and maintain effective internal controls.
 Preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements using Blackline and signing off.
 Maintaining the fixed assets register in Netsuite.
 Approving prepaid invoices and preparing prepaid workpapers.
 Accounting for intercompany transactions and understanding consolidation elimination concepts.
 Participating in financial close activities and preparing variance analysis on actuals.
 Identifying process improvements in the fixed asset and bank reconciliation processes as part of continuous
improvement initiatives.
 Possessing knowledge of US GAAP and Local GAAP, and identifying differences in accordance with generally accepted
accounting principles (GAAP).
 Supporting the team in preparing Ind AS financial statements and reporting schedules for SEC reporting.
 Supporting consolidated and standalone entity audit requirements and addressing auditor queries.
 Validating system interfaces and troubleshooting general ledger issues, such as integration errors from other tools and
forex discrepancies.
 Ensuring compliance by adhering to internal control requirements (SOX), maintaining updated documentation, and
collaborating with the close team on special projects.
 Collaborating with various stakeholders (FP&A, AP, Tax, and Revenue) to ensure sufficient information flow for task
completion.
 Contributing ideas to improve productivity and assisting in close team project implementations to enhance
automation.

Additional Information

Qualifications
● Chartered Accountant qualifications (India) or CPA US equivalent with 3 months to 1 year post qualification experience
● Attention to detail is a must
● Strong accounting and book-keeping background
● Ability to recognize unusual transactions, trends, or variations and communicate findings
● Proficiency in Word, Excel, and power-point required
● Experience of working knowledge in Finance ERP (Netsuite) is an added advantage
