Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the Learning & Development Assistant is accountable to support learning and development activities and events for the airport. This position plays a key role in assisting in the development and design of current and future training programs. The Learning & Development Assistant will also be responsible for the tracking, completion and follow up for applicable training grants for the airport. The Learning & Development Assistant has strong cross-functional linkages to all SBUs at all levels within the organization.

POSITION SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to determine current and future learning capabilities through assessment interviews.

  • Execute administrative functions of the L&D program through: research, organization, planning and administration tasks of the L&D program.

  • Manage the full cycle of job grant applications from; application submission, completion and reimbursement.

  • Track and report on budget allocation and status updates.

  • Research and initiate corrections and improvements to course offerings.

  • Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, helpful manner of working.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

  • Successful candidate must be a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. Transcript or proof of enrollment must be provided with submission of application.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with directly related experience and/or education.

  • Successful candidate will have a proven history of working well within a team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility and adaptability and a willingness to respond quickly to changes and new tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate airport security clearance, acceptable criminal record check is required.
