Job Description
As a Junior Environmental Professional at FLINT, you will support a variety of environmental projects, including environmental assessments, remediation, reclamation and closure activities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In this dynamic position, you'll be involved in various environmental programs for upstream oil and gas, all while championing a client-centered approach that drives success and fosters growth.
What would you be doing?
- Support environmental assessments and closure programs, including Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, remediation, reclamation, Detailed Site Assessments, and closure applications across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Conduct field activities such as soil and vegetation identification and assessment, borehole logging, soil sampling and oversight of third-party contractors in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, landowners, stakeholders, and regulators to enhance project outcomes and facilitate effective collaboration.
- Crosstrain to adapt to seasonal demands and support other environmental projects as needed.
- Spend up to 80% of time in the field, actively involved in hands-on environmental work across various practice areas.

Qualifications
- Technical diploma or university degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; eligible for or holds a professional designation (e.g., Agrologist, Biologist, Engineer, Geoscientist) in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental consulting with hands-on expertise in fieldwork.
- Proficient in safely operating light-duty trucks and holding a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Understanding and application of provincial environmental regulations, policies and guidelines pertinent to site investigations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication required.

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
