Job Description
The Role
The Project Manager (PM) will be a key member of a project team to implement a new Content Management System (CMS) to replace multiple legacy CMS. They will work with a broad stakeholder group of internal Fastmarkets teams, the product vendor and implementation partner to deliver the target state and business benefits. They will also lead discovery work to shape the next project phase of this multi-year initiative.
During the first phase, they will lead every stage of the project lifecycle through:

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Fundamentals
- Ability to demonstrate extensive commercial experience as a Project Manager delivering technology and business change solutions across a wide range of projects.
- Experience of implementing CMS – preferably headless and Kontent.ai - and content creation.
- Experience of managing projects with third parties including technology vendors and implementation partners.
- Experience of large-volume data migration from legacy to new applications.
General skills
- Business knowledge of news, pricing and commodities.
- Ability to operate within different environments and work with varied processes and stakeholders.
- Mindset of collaboration and teamwork for delivery as part of remote teams and able to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce high-quality documentation appropriate for business and technical stakeholders.
- Able to regularly and clearly communicate status, risks and issues as input to Programme and Board reporting and engage in open and honest conversations on delivery challenges with members of the Senior Leadership Team, peers and junior colleagues.
- Experience of running senior stakeholder and vendor meetings e.g., scoping/discovery workshops, steering committee meetings and workshops to facilitate decision making.
- Experience of implementing and managing change control to ensure delivery within the agreed time, cost and quality.
- Strong leadership qualities: respectful, inclusive, approachable, collaborative,
- engaging and professional.
- Ability to work independently and to motivate teams and drive outcomes.
- Ensure nothing falls through the cracks in terms of deliverables by internal and external parties and take ownership where tasks are ambiguous.
Technology
- Experience of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of SaaS integrations with Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
- Considers information security and compliance requirements and rigorously tracks their implementation.
- Experience of working in a hybrid Waterfall and Agile delivery environment. Previous experience acting as a Scrum Master to facilitate Scrum events is desirable.
- Practical experience of using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence and Miro
