Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Web Performance Associate to join our growing team. In this exciting role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our web-based platforms remain accessible, reliable, and lightning-fast to users across the globe. If you're passionate about technology, front-end optimizations, and delivering outstanding user experiences.

  • Improved website lead flow to help contribute to Fastmarkets commercial targets.
  • Improved website user experience, ensuring fast page load times and an accessible, user-friendly experience for all
  • Support web manager with creation of stakeholder best practices and workflows.
  • Ongoing evaluation and implementation of web performance best practices, keeping pace with industry developments and innovations

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, measure, and optimize key web performance metrics
  • Utilize WordPress proficiency to troubleshoot performance issues and devise innovative solutions to consistently deliver a high-quality user experience.
  • Support on-page and off-page SEO efforts by identifying ranking opportunities and implementing technical fixes.
  • Implement responsive designs across varying device types, browsers, and connection speeds
  • Regularly monitor and assess web analytics and trends, proactively identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to documentation and reference materials that facilitate a shared understanding of web performance best practices among team members
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in web performance and related fields
  • Act as a champion for web performance within the company, advocating for best practices and identifying potential opportunities for improvement

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in web performance optimization and/or front-end development
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Experience with Google analytics 4
  • In-depth knowledge of web performance best practices, tools, and techniques (e.g., PageSpeed Insights, WebPagetest, Lighthouse)
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Google search console
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, Section 508)
  • A solid understanding of networking, server infrastructure, and cloud technologies
