Description:

Our client, a leading financial institution, seeks a Systems Support Analyst with 7+ years’ experience; provide production support, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and documentation for applications for the Funding, Collateral and Cash Management business.

This candidate will need to have the ability to occasionally work outside traditional business hours including but not limited to weekends and evenings to support patching and application releases.


Responsibilities include:

Providing application support for front, middle and back office trading and collateral management systems as they relate to the Funding and Collateral businesses related applications.

Providing both technical systems support and data analysis support within the technology platform management organization.

Central point of contact for the Funding and Collateral businesses.

Providing hands-on application level 1-3 support.

Developing automated solutions of any and all support tasks.

Working closely with our front, middle, back offices, and business partners to analyze and resolve all issues and enquiries.

Providing a consistently high level of client service to our business partners

Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to ensure our SLA’s are achieved.

Identify potential areas of risk that could pose a threat to our business

Performing deployments from Test to Production environment

Clearly documenting all issues and the steps taken to resolve the issue in our support wiki & knowledge base.

Creating and documenting support procedures and operational workarounds for new issues.

Qualifications

7+ years of systems support or development analysis experience

5+ year of UNIX and Windows Server experience

3+ years of Financial Services experience in a trading environment

3+ years development experience

3+ years of data analysis experience

Working knowledge of SQL, Java, Unix Shells, PERL

Working knowledge of AUTOSYS and/or other job scheduling tools

Working knowledge of message queue and workflows

Knowledge of programing languages like Java, C# and C/C++

Ability to troubleshoot complex technology and data related issues

Knowledge of securities industry systems and terminology

Knowledge of the operational aspects of securities trading, processing, settlement, and clearing

Excellent client service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced trading floor environment

Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented working methodology

Cap market experience preferred
