We are looking for Associate Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help develop end-to-end analytics solutions on top of the Ascend Sandbox platform in EMEA & APAC region.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Develop solutions for data analysis, predictive model development and ad-hoc analysis implementing accurate and reliable code.
  • Conduct tests of the automated solutions.
  • Build and update pipelines for automation of processes.
  • Work together with data scientists on the development of machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and model training.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, supporting your ideas with cost/benefit analyses justifying the need both internally within the team and towards external partners.
  • Produce technical documentation in compliance with internal best practices.

Qualifications

We are looking for you to bring:

  • A degree (BSc level) in a numerical discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and econometrics, Physics.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Python – preferably both Python's own syntax but also some of its packages (such as pandas, numpy, sklearn)
  • Write Python code/ Core Python expertise.
  • Knowledge of OOP principles, data structures, algorithms & design patterns
  • Flexible and adaptable to learn and understand new technologies.
  • Fluency in English

Any of the following abilities will be considered an advantage:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of Agile development methodologies and techniques
  • Knowledge of good software development practices (Test-driven Development, Clean Code, Refactoring
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and of measures used for evaluating performance of Machine Learning models, such as, recall
  • Experience with Data Science concepts such as overfitting, cross-validation, test-vs-train split
  • Experience with CI/CD process development
