Job Description

The primary objective of the Financial Analyst role is to provide the region with support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information. 

The main responsibilities of the role include active involvement in month-end process, producing financial forecasts, regular and ad hoc management reports and a varied range of financial data analysis. The role requires direct engagement with finance and business stakeholders to develop reporting and insights that inform management decision making.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering independently month/year end close activities ensuring financial data is accurate and in line with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS;
  • Being responsible for selected balance sheet accounts and providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis;
  • Deliver independently the MMC (forecast) process for a respective area
  • Providing pre-defined (monthly, quarterly and annual) and ad hoc management information reports with accurate views of its financial performance;
  • Supporting the development and control of the annual operating budget within the assigned region, aiming to ensure that all financial targets are met and that financial and statutory obligations are complied with;
  • Assembling, analysing and reporting financial information in response to requests from the wider finance function and the business;
  • Providing variance analysis and commentary;
  • Providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis and support Operating Cash Flow monthly process;
  • Contributing to the optimisation of current processes and demonstrating continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

What you'll bring?

 

  • 3-4 years experience in Accounting, Finance or Finance/Business and related degree or Masters Degree; 
  • Very good level of general financial accounting gained in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS;
  • Prior planning, analysis and reporting experience in an international or global business in a complex, matrix organisation;
  • Highly logical, numerate with an unfaltering attention to detail;
  • Very good understanding of financial management information;
  • Ability to present ideas and opinions with enthusiasm and credibility;
  • Flexible and amenable mind-set, comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team;
  • Very good communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across diverse groups and across different countries;
  • Proactivity and ability to work independently over the required tasks in the assigned area;
  • Able to prioritize own tasks and supports other more junior team members with prioritization;
  • Written and verbal fluency in English is essential;
  • Strong Excel and data manipulation skills.
