Job Description
- Assist in the preparation and processing of import and export customs declarations and related documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry, record maintenance, and shipment status updates.
- Support customs clearance activities in compliance with Customs regulations, company SOPs, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, transportation providers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders on shipment clearance matters.
- Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies, clearance issues, and urgent operational requirements.
- Perform runner duties, including submission, collection, endorsement, and delivery of customs, permit, and regulatory documents at Customs offices, ports, airports, free zones, government agencies, customer locations, and other designated sites.
- Attend cargo inspections, Customs examinations, and verification activities as required.
- Ensure all runner activities and operational transactions are properly documented and communicated to the Customs Brokerage team.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard customer information and shipping documents at all times.
- Report compliance concerns, delays, irregularities, or operational issues promptly to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Complete all required training and demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn and develop.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: SPM, Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics, customs brokerage, transportation, or related operations is preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Familiarity with transportation documentation and freight forwarding processes is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
