Project is a platform that is being developed to streamline onsite operations in multifamily property management. Designed through extensive user research, the product integrates generative AI directly into daily workflows—supporting tasks like communication, scheduling, and documentation—to improve team productivity and elevate service quality. 

This role focuses on backend development and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI capabilities and building scalable services from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build backend systems and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Contribute to the integration of AI features, including support for vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and context-handling strategies in collaboration with the team.
• Set up and manage infrastructure on AWS including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and security.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate ideas into functional, scalable features.
• Contribute to the architectural decisions as the platform moves from prototype to production.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and scaling backend systems.
• Strong Python development skills; experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and concepts such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and data augmentation.
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Strong communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
