Role Purpose:

• Execution of operational activities (steps of accounting processes in Accounts Receivable area) for Eurofins Legal Entities in designated scope
• Performing designated activities in compliance with relevant process documentation.
• Maintaining necessary process & accounting knowledge also to strengthen back-up ability of the team
• Identification and implementation of potential improvements applicable to executed activities/processes
• Being a partner to NSC and Business in accounting and process areas
• Active participation in Transition Projects
• Support Interns, Junior Accountants and Accountants in their daily job.
• Support team in more complex tasks and issues.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Customer Master Data
   1. Creation of new customer (via csv import or manually)
   2. Modification of existing customers (VAT group correction, Parent/child payer)
   3. Support for less experienced co-workers
   4. Resolving issues with missing customers
2. Customer invoicing and intercompany accounting
   1. Posting invoices sent via interfaces
   2. Posting invoices imported via sales converter
   3. Posting manual ICO recharge invoices (on request and monthly orders)
   4. MJE booking: corrections, write offs, postings on FC/GL/AP request
   5. Approving journals created by other team members
   6. Sending dunning letters to the customers
   7. Support for less experienced co-workers
3. Invoice booking and sales reconciliation
   1. Daily posting sales converters and interface invoices
   2. Sales reconciliation done twice a month
   3. Support for less experienced co-workers
   4. Resolving issues with missing invoices
4. Bank statement booking and cash allocation
   1. Daily Bank Statements import, posting and reconciliation
   2. Collecting money by direct debit process
   3. Preparing unallocated cash reports
   4. Analyzing unallocated cash with FCs
   5. Support for less experienced co-workers
5. Month-end activities:
   1. Ensuring all bank statements have been posted in EOM
   2. Monthly bank reconciliation
   3. Sales reconciliation
   4. Accruals posting
   5. Bad debt calculation
   6. Support for less experienced co-workers
6. Knowledge maintenance:
   1. Ensuring exceptions/changes to the standard process are highlighted to the superior and upon confirmation, adequately reflected in process documentation
   2. Updating process catalogues and propose adequate changes in cooperation with proper company departments,
   3. Informing and explaining to partners (NSC/ Business) process requirements,
   4. Stay up to date with designated processes/activities/country or legal entity specifics for which acts as a back-up
7. Transition involvement:
   1. Participation in knowledge transfer meetings/checkpoints meetings together with Team Leader,
   2. Preparing AR process overview for the business,
   3. Highlighting and resolving issues encountered during transition.
8. Team support:
   1. New joiners training,
   2. Point of contact for less experienced employees in complex process and accounting issues,
   3. Occasionally backup for Team Leader.
9. Improvement process:
   1. Continuously seek improvement opportunities for executed activities & highlight potential improvements,
   2. Takes part in process improvement projects and/or directly implements accepted improvements
   3. Participates in process improvement identification initiatives on team & company level,
   4. Supports improvement culture helps less experienced employees with solution creation.

10. Stakeholder management:
    1. Identifies client’s needs & answers clients’ requests in direct (written) communication
    2. Proactively drives communication with client till final resolution
    3. Adapts communication according to situation & the receiver
    4. Is able to build & maintain professional relation with a client (typically Financial or Business Controllers) by adjusting to the situation and conditions,
    5. Addresses escalations in an effective way,
    6. Takes part in business meetings & phone calls
11. Other tasks:
    1. Correctly report working time used & activities executed in company’s work reporting system
    2. Taking part in UAT sessions and sanity checks before new PROD application release
    3. Participating in monthly operational calls if needed

What are we expecting:

• Advanced accounting knowledge
• Experience in OtC accounting in SSC/BPO environment is desired
• Advanced knowledge OtC process steps
• Awareness of PtP, RtR, and OtC dependencies
• Communication skills (ability to lead relationships with stakeholders in a variety of areas)
• English B/C – spoken & written
• MS Office knowledge
• Knowledge of Excel at the advanced level
• Finance-related education
• Additional training and certification will be an asset.
