Job Description
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.
- Collects samples for Environmental monitoring (EM) and utilities monitoring (UM) at client facilities
- Transports samples, supplies, and equipment between the Eurofins laboratory site and client sites
- Perform laboratory analyses including (but not limited to) Bioburden, Endotoxin, Total organic carbon (TOC), conductivity, pH
- Performs visual inspection of agar plates for microbial growth
- Data entry into LIMS or controlled forms using good documentation practices (GDP)
Qualifications
- At least an Associate's degree in microbiology or other relevant subject.
- High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered
- Strong aseptic technique
- Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
- Ability to lift or move 20lbs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Attention to detail
- Proactive, self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills
Additional Information
Position is part-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with potential overtime or flexed hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
