Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Technology to join our senior IT Leadership team. In this role you will develop our technology roadmap, software engineering and integration, operational run, continuous optimisation of our technology stack and building an outstanding culture for technology to thrive in.
As a key member of the wider Claims leadership team, you will lead and deliver on all aspects of technology used within the Claims area. You will provide technical expertise, outline clear vision and strategy and manage and inspire the Claims technology team.

You will have full tech ownership of a critical part of the business, with significant responsibility for tech solutions and ways of working.
What you will do:
- Provide outstanding technical and people focused leadership whilst driving a culture of high performance and quality in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Lead the technical roadmap for our Claims business area ensuring that the roadmap fits with our strategy from a business wide perspective
- Promote and lead the digitisation of the customer Claims journeys through the identification, evaluation, selection and implementation of new technology
- Drive the design, build, governance and continuous optimisation of the Claims platforms, products and technology stack
- Continuous implementation of engineering practices, security controls, and quality assurance of our Claims platform and applications
- Conduct regular reviews of technology and platforms to ensure that patterns, standards, risk and security controls have been embedded and are functioning accurately
Qualifications

- Experience in a senior technical leadership role where you have been responsible for owning and driving strategy and vision for your function
- Someone who can work in partnership with senior members of our business turning sophisticated technical needs into simple overviews with solutions
- Expert-level experience in architecture principles, design, build and operations of complex technology ecosystems
- Extensive experience with agile SDLC practices within Scrum and Kanban environments, including SCM, build tools, test automation and CI/CD
- Experience of delivering and running high volume transactional data and event processing solutions on AWS
- Knowledge of DevOps and SRE and the use of technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Beanstalk and Terraform
