Job Description

We currently have a great opportunity for someone to be part of the broader Risk and Compliance team.

We're seeking a motivated Compliance Manager to focus on leading all aspects of esure’s systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those from the FCA, and Consumer Credit Act, as well as internal policies. As a senior compliance professional, you will provide oversight and challenge to ensure all significant compliance and conduct risks are identified, managed, and reported to the Board and senior management. This role also involves encouraging a strong compliance and conduct risk culture.

Experience within the insurance sector is hugely beneficial for this role!

You'll work with the team to:

  • Act as a compliance expert, partnering senior leaders on control environments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Interpret and communicate emerging regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services comply.
  • Maintain awareness of UK and EU regulatory developments, liaising with regulators and ensuring compliance policies are current.
  • Oversee first-line controls and assess fraud and financial crime risk across the organization.
  • Analyse and communicate the impact of changing regulatory requirements to wider business
  • Provide compliance input on business transformation projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to prepare for future regulatory changes.
  • Deliver regulatory updates and risk analysis to management and executive reports.
  • Support senior leadership in operating the Senior Managers & Certification Regime effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar compliance/audit role within Financial Services, ideally in Insurance.
  • Solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and relevant legislation.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Ability to review procedures, communicate findings, and influence senior management to ensure compliance.

  • Developed influencing and negotiation abilities.
  • Resilience and confidence in challenging senior management.
