Job Description
Esure have an excellent opportunity for a Team Leader to manager & supervise the Accounts and payable team on a full time permanent basis.
Ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of all payments whilst overseeing the cash and banking accounting activities, the effective handling of customer, client, supplier and internal business department enquiries.
What will my role entail?
- Supervise and manage the overall function of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring all activities are completed in an efficient and timely manner. This will require the jobholder to undertake both a coaching and “hands on” approach to the necessary workloads.
- Manage the running of the Accounts Payable process ensuring adherence to all aspects of the robust functioning of the process including “cut off” deadlines, supplier terms, authorisation limits, and payment runs.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties are maintained within the team across the activities of Accounts Payable, Business Internet Banking payments and claims cheque issuing.
- Act as Accounts Payable contact, both internally and externally, investigating and resolving all invoice and payment queries.
- Administer closing POs and action queries when requested by various stakeholders within the business.
- Manage the weekly Repairernet payments and complete associated general ledger reconciliations.
- Responsible for the production of weekly/monthly Accounts Payable MI and PO Exception Reports & undertaking any required actions.
Cash and Banking:
- Manage the daily cheque production print run of Claims cheques from TIA and EIS.
- Manage the daily process regarding the recording and “forwarding for banking” to Claims of cheques received (e.g. Recovery cheques) or returned by Royal Mail or suppliers.
- Manage the online banking rota for electronic payments for operational bank accounts.
- Manage the daily operational bank balances to ensure sufficient funding is in place.
- Manage the daily process to verify /authorise payments using Barclays.Net
- Responsible for processing ad hoc TIA Bordereaux payments and remittances, ensuring requests balance to the required payment request.
- Responsible for the production of ad-hoc electronic payment requests.
Qualifications
What we'd love you to bring:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a supervisory & hands on role
- A proven track record working on accounts payable processes and specifically Oracle Financials software is desirable.
- Computer literate with a good to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- Must be pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- A good knowledge of workflow and control processes in order to be able to identify areas for refinement and improvement.
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Able to communicate at all levels throughout the business.
- An eye for detail is essential within the role.
