Job Description
As a key part of the Finance departments leadership team, the Finance Systems Change Lead will build and drive our finance systems strategy and vision. esure have undergone huge transformation and change over the last few years, and we need someone who can deliver the changes/upgrades to our financial systems, embedding these into a BAU environment, post migration.
You will be a financial and technical expert who has a deep understanding of financial processes and systems to ensure changes are implemented smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with our business wide goals and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:
- Set the strategy for finance systems and lead the full project lifecycle of changes to financial systems and data interfaces
- Gather and document requirements for system changes, communicate these changes to the business and look to minimise disruptions to financial operations
- Design and configure Oracle system changes ensuring that these are implemented in a way that aligns with security standards and scalability requirements
- Develop and coordinate testing plans to ensure that system changes are thoroughly tested for accuracy, functionality, and compatibility with other systems
- Implement data migration strategies and reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data during and after system changes
- Provide regular updates to senior management and steering committees on the progress of system changes and potential issues
Qualifications
We'd love you to have:
- Significant experience of leading finance systems transformation projects
- Strong technical expertise and understanding of Oracle Financials including GL and FAH
- Broad experience of supporting databases, applications, and other financial systems, processes, and workflows (such as Blackline and E4A).
- Finance process and accounting knowledge / experience
- Good understanding of finance data flows and finance data base/ ETLs including SQL
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and project delivery skills with the ability to lead teams to achieve strategic goals
