Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager (Change) to join our Finance function on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. You will be responsible for leading the collaboration between financial reporting teams, finance systems teams and the wider business to shape and implement the integration of new systems development into our business as business as usual.

What you will do:

  • Ensure readiness of the financial reporting teams for the new standard, ensuring the correct accounting is implemented, controls are in place and accurate documentation is created
  • Drive collaboration between various teams and own the management of stakeholders of the highest level in partnership with the Financial Controller and CFO
  • Put in place appropriate controls, processes and culture in order to transition new systems and IFRS17 to BAU reporting
  • Report to Group Financial Controller and support them to support esure’s transformation from a financial reporting perspective
  • Be a key part of esure’s finance community. Strive to actively share technical expertise with the team and champion and share knowledge wider than your core team

Qualifications

What we’d love you to bring:

  • A passion for sharing knowledge and expertise and driving improvements in processes in line with regulatory
  • Analytical thinking and ability to understand the business rationale for changes, whilst considering the accounting and wider impacts.
  • A qualified accountant with significant experience in an insurance financial accounting role
  • Ability to interpret regulatory and statutory regulations, simplify and translate them to the wider business
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to translate complex messages into concise updates for executive audiences
  • Experience working in an agile organisation and ability to collaborate to deliver and achieve great things
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate teams and drive results
