Here at Esure we have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Operative to join our team based in our Reigate Office on a 12 month FTC. 

As a Facilities Operative you will provide a flexible facilities service with emphasis on the implementation and monitoring of the planned preventative maintenance programme for the building plant and control systems and assist in the management of the soft services contracts and post services.

What will my role entail?

  • In conjunction with the Facilities Coordinator, monitor the operation of all facilities and maintenance services, and maintain all relevant records in relation to the building, H&S, office furniture and equipment
  • Making sure that the post functions for all incoming and outgoing mail are operating correctly and acts as first point of contact locally with Royal Mail, UKMail, DX and courier companies
  • assist in office moves and changes with the space in Reigate
  • Ordering and delivery of all stationary orders and reprographic supplies as well as some periodic facilities works.
  • Assist and provide cover for the Facilities Coordinator when required.
  • Monitoring of all local Facilities requests, and mailboxes making sure they are prioritised and delegated to the relevant team member. 
  • Support of desk booking system admin, all meeting room requests, and their associated furniture moves.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation offered within the on-site restaurant, liaising with the Catering Manager should any issues arise.  Processing of regional weekly menus received from the catering managers.
  • Provide out of hours support for the office in the absence of the Facilities Coordinator.
  • Ensuring various contractors are meeting their contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring approved specification consumable stock is delivered and maintained at all times.
  • Keeping abreast of new policies and procedures.
  • Managing Post Room services locally.
  • Focussing on costs and efficiency to contribute to the profitability of the Company
  • Ordering and controlling stock ensuring consistency, best price and quality are achieved.
  • Maintaining consistency between regions.

Qualifications

You are a good fit for the role if you have the following…

  • Experience of working within a facilities environment and can show skills and in managing external suppliers; purchasing and stock control, report writing and be familiar with carrying out office moves and facilities office works.
  • Demonstrable experience in Facilities Management and managing post services and those relationships.
  • Experience of supervising and communicating with contractors and suppliers.
  • Willingness to attend FM and H&S training courses as required.
  • An eye for detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
