Communication and Engagement Business Partner

  • Full-time
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Department: HR

Company Description

We’re one of the UK’s leading insurers, protecting around 2.5 million people in their homes and on the roads. Our journey started back in 2000 – a small company with a revolutionary idea to sell insurance direct through our esure and Sheilas’ Wheels brands. We’ve grown a lot since then, but we’ve held onto that pioneering spirit every step of the way.

Now, we’re onto the next part of our game-changing story. We’re giving our customers a world-class digital experience, together with a human touch when it’s needed most. And we’re working hard to be a real force for good in the world, too! It’s so we can fix insurance for good and help our customers lead fuller lives.

Our colleagues are the driving force behind it all (they’re our superpowers!). It’s our role in the Communication & Engagement team to make sure they feel informed, involved, and inspired, so they can ace what matters most for our customers every single day. This is especially important as we lead colleagues through the next phase of our business transformation to become a world-class digital insurer.

Job Description

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Communication & Engagement Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2023.

You’ll ensure colleagues across the business are kept in the loop with our transformation plans and the important role they play, helping them embed new ways of working, get to grips with new systems and digital-first processes, and thrive during times of change. This includes:

  • Partnering operational directors to develop best-in-class communications that bring the transformation to life, fuel two-way conversation, and respond to colleague feedback from our engagement pulse surveys.
  • Developing and delivering change communications that keep colleagues informed and supported as esure continues to digitise and change shape.
  • Leading the transformation programme communications, including monthly team briefings, social posts, and ad hoc email announcements.
  • Feeding transformation milestones into our business-wide communication channels and plans.

Qualifications

  • An empathetic approach when it comes to communicating culture and business change (bonus if you’ve got digital transformation experience within a scaled Agile environment!).
  • Confident coaching leaders on communication best practice with a desire to champion our colleagues at every turn.
  • A great influencer, who builds trusted relationships at all levels.
  • The know-how to deliver tailored communication plans that improve colleague engagement and drive great business outcomes.
  • Digital savvy and confident using tools like Poppulo, Microsoft 365 products, Peakon, Slack, Jira, Box, Lucid, and Miro.
  • A proud ‘grammar geek’ with excellent copywriting skills and a flair for crafting compelling narratives that blend people, processes, and tech in an engaging way.
  • Analytical thinking with a love of digging behind the data to produce best-in-class communications, particularly tapping into engagement survey insight.
  • A team player, who gets stuck in to help others out and enjoys coaching other members of the team.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and work best when you’re juggling multiple priorities.
  • An understanding of contact centre working environments would be a bonus!

Additional Information

This is an opportunity to shape our game-changing journey and be part of something truly special! And to top it off, here are some more perks to life at esure…

  • A salary of £55,000-£65,000 pro rata, plus discounts on our insurance products.
  • Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) membership, personal coaching, and on-demand training at the tap of a button through LinkedIn Learning.
  • 25 days holiday pro rata, plus eight flex days to be taken when suits you, and two paid volunteering days.
  • A personal box of benefits to support your health, wellbeing, lifestyle, and finances, including a helping hand to do your bit for the planet.
  • Hybrid working with travel to your local office when needed (Manchester, Glasgow, or Reigate).
