Content Creator

  • Full-time
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Department: HR

Company Description

We’re one of the UK’s leading insurers, protecting more than 2.5 million people in their homes and on the roads when they need us most.

Our journey started back in 2000 – a small company with a revolutionary idea to sell insurance direct through our esure and Sheilas’ Wheels brands. We’ve grown a lot since then, but we’ve held onto that pioneering spirit every step of the way.

Now, we’re onto the next part of our game-changing story. We’re giving our customers a world-class digital experience, together with a human touch when it’s needed most. And we’re working hard to be a real force for good in the world, too! It’s so we can fix insurance for good and help our customers lead fuller lives.

Job Description

Our colleagues are the driving force behind it all (they’re our superpowers!). It’s our role in the Communication & Engagement team to make sure they feel informed, involved, and inspired, so they can ace what matters most for our customers every single day.

What you’ll do:

Our Content Creator will hunt out great news stories from across the business and find the best ways to share them with colleagues. Our very own roving reporter!

You’ll drive our editorial calendar to keep colleagues in the loop with what’s going on and any important action they need to take. Thanks to your love of storytelling, you’ll produce inspiring editorial content across a range of communication channels (print, digital, and social), helping information to flow across all parts of our business – from top to bottom, bottom to top, and side to side.

You’ll also help with attention-grabbing campaigns that connect colleagues to our business strategy (The Game Changer), like crafting memorable stories, events and experiences that bring people together and show our digital transformation in action.

It’s a varied and exciting role with lots of scope to make it your own (no two days are ever the same!).

How you’ll do it:

We’re on the hunt for a colleague who:

  • Dares to do different – you’re a creative thinker, who’s hungry to learn and try new things. You push boundaries to produce attention-grabbing campaigns that get results, and you delve into the data to continually improve what you do.
  • Aces what matters most – you have the knack for knowing what stories are most important to our colleagues, customers, and business, and that’s where you channel your energy, to deliver them brilliantly.
  • Plays strong in a team – you get stuck in to help others out, no matter how big or small the task is. Thanks to your ‘can do’ attitude, you quickly spot when something needs doing, crack on with it, and always give it your all.

Qualifications

The skills you’ll bring:

  • You have a journalist’s instinct. You know how to spot a great story and can transform it into a compelling narrative, using different media to bring it to life.
  • You’re curious about people, can chat to anyone, and quickly learn what makes different people tick. This helps you tease out unique stories and tailor editorial content for diverse audiences.
  • You’re a proud ‘grammar geek’ and your attention to detail means you thrive when you’re in planning mode.
  • You’re digital savvy. You can quickly find your way around a new digital system and you’re always on the lookout for the next ‘hot’ trend, especially when it comes to social media.
  • You make it your mission to know what’s happening in the world and you’re all over the latest headlines, from current affairs to industry news.

It’s a bonus if you’ve also got the following experience – but don’t worry if not, just come ready to learn:

  • A background in digital marketing, PR, or internal communication, like campaign planning and producing events.
  • Use of creative design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, VideoPad, iMovie, and Canva).
  • Experience using a range of digital tools and content management systems, like Poppulo or Mailchimp, WordPress, Microsoft 365 products, Survey Monkey, Mentimeter, and Google Analytics.
