Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a People Services Advisor to join our HR department based in Glasgow. This role can be offered as full time or as a job share.

The Day to Day

  • Provide first line professional HR advice and guidance service to support terms and conditions of employment and HR related policies and procedures with a view to resolving first time within an agreed service level
  • Responsible for performing timely and accurate preparation of detailed monthly payroll files to the payroll provider, maintaining deadlines and SLAs
  • Responsible for answering all payroll, benefit and general HR related queries from colleagues, line managers and HR stakeholders
  • First line contact with external payroll and benefit provider on behalf of colleagues and line managers regarding payroll, benefit and general related requests
  • Responsible for responding to all queries in the shared mailbox within SLA and with a view to ‘right first time’
  • Responsible for ensuring all HR related policies and processes are maintained and published to support additions and changes
  • Responsible for ensuring how to guides, how do I guides and other HR related material is up to date and published for colleagues and line managers to self serve
  • Support informal/formal meetings to support ER related casework and ensure all paperwork is accurate and in line with regulatory practices
  • Provide clear advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to leaders
  • Operates and maintains HR systems and processes as a superuser e.g. Resource Link, My Benefits Box, myView
  • Gather and provide MI and People data from HR systems in a timely, accurate and easy to understand  way

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a HR Shared Service team
  • Expert knowledge of payroll legislation and practice
  • Subject matter expertise in all esure related HR policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Strong ability to work HR operating systems
  • Good generalist knowledge of HR processes and practices including Recruitment, Onboarding, Talent, Employee Relations and Reward
  • Strong influence to guide colleagues and line managers on self service, where appropriate
  • Strong understanding of GDPR adherence
  • Trustworthy with excellent active listening skills
  • A pro-active approach to work and problem solving with the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a ‘one and done’ approach to colleague and line manager queries
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to adapt to all audiences
  • Flexible working attitude with the capability of working on own initiative and also as part of a small team

Salary - £28,000+ (DOE), plus up tp 10% annual bonus
