esure has a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Services Motor Engineer to join the Engineering Services department on a full-time permanent basis.

The role can be based from either our Manchester or Glasgow office, hybrid working available.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and process more complex repair assessments / valuations up to £20,000 and customer complaints / enquiries ensuring they are authorised professionally and efficiently within esure philosophy and agreed timescales, paying attention to cost control. Authorises body (including structural / chassis) and mechanical damage to agreed handling limits. 
  • Assist the Technical Engineer and ESD Team Leader with team tasks and priorities. 
  • Deputise for the Technical Engineer and ESD Team Leader. 
  • Act as a referral point for Engineering Services Settlement Specialists and colleagues from the wider claim’s teams. 
  • Answer all incoming call enquiries in an efficient, expedient and customer focused way, ensuring that the customer receives a professional service at all times. 
  • Resolve complex complaints from customers 

Qualifications

  • In depth motor trade knowledge in a body repair / mechanical environment. 
  • Understanding of Thatcham principles and methods. 
  • Demonstrates evidence of providing high standards of customer care in roles such as Estimator or in-house engineer with an insurance company. 
  • Audatex knowledge/awareness of other estimating systems.
