Job Description

Do you have an inquisitive mind and like to solve problems? Are you passionate about combatting fraudulent activity?

esure are looking for a Home Claims Investigator on a permanent basis to examine and resolve a caseload of suspected fraudulent home insurance claims, resulting in minimal financial loss to the company.

The day to day:

Our Investigators complete detailed investigations of home claims fraud referrals using multiple sources including automated detection systems, intelligence alerts and called out claims from various claim teams.

We review and triage referrals from esure's claims handlers and our automated fraud detection systems, ensuring that risks are identified and passed on to the most appropriate area of the business.

The team interprets output from SIRA fraud detection system, review intelligence alerts raised from Financial Crime Insight and review SAS/MI reports generated within the business of potential high-risk claims.

The team complete thorough case reviews to a level of which evidence for repudiation is agreeably signed off, all whilst ensuring that case files are produced and checked to the highest quality.

We are a collaborative team with a desire to share knowledge and experience! Our Investigators are subject matter experts, sharing technical advice with colleagues and the wider business through the delivery of fraud training packages and design of informative articles to help combat fraud.

Qualifications

We would love you to bring:

  • Claims handling experience within home insurance and a working knowledge of Insurance/Financial service databases
  • A good understanding of the legal aspect of asset recovery and GDPR
  • Cognitive/conversation management experience/knowledge or completion of certificate in Advanced Validation Solutions
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully deal with own workload
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of team
  • Attention to detail and determination with the ability to gather information and identify links and patterns emerging of claims involving specific companies/people

We’d also like to hear if you have:

  • Accreditation: Mentor in Risk Screening – Level 3
  • Accreditation: ACF Tech certificate of achievement - 20 credits

We’ll help you gain:

  • We will train you on how to identify different types of fraud, complete investigations using internal systems and conduct research using the internet and interrogate databases
  • Knowledge on how to identify fraudulent documents.
  • Any accreditation training required
  • Opportunity to apply for further study via Apprenticeships
