Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To ensure that all initiatives are completed on time, within budget and meet appropriate standards of quality.   To manage and coordinate the successful completion of projects within Operations.  This role will co-ordinate all aspects of the project to include co-ordination of activities, maintenance and scheduling of project plans ensuring effective risk management and adherence to regulatory and corporate governance standards. 

DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to identify and define requirements and key deliverables, ensuring project documentation is kept up to date including project plan

  • Lead the delivery and co-ordination of agreed implementation activities in relation to initiatives including any associated communication with key stakeholders and associated materials

  • Responsible for providing status updates to the stakeholders on an ongoing basis in an agreed format including management and identification of any key risks

  • Gather information for the project through research, investigation and analysis and present findings to the stakeholders as required

  • Monitor progress and manage any issues with timeframes or provision of information escalating as necessary

  • Act as point of contact in relation to project

  • Continually assess and track throughout project lifecycle seeking opportunities to improve or develop the plan

  • Attend meetings as necessary to provide updates or support in implementation activities

  • Continually measure performance of project and ensuring that all activities meet regulatory and governance frameworks

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Project management methodology qualification, such as Agile or Lean Six Sigma or equivalent proven experience ideally within Insurance Industry

  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role

  • Experience in project management tools

  • Strong organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks

  • Experience in analysing and presenting information using multiple media and tailoring to specific audiences
