We have an urgent opening for the position of UNDERWRITER LIFE INSURANCE.
Underwriting Project guide. The guide contains all the details on Training, hotel and logistics.
Broad Guidelines:
Duration – 6 month
Location – Work from home
1. 3 weeks training at Horsham , PA, office
2. Travel, and logistics arrangements will be made by Capgemini travel team
3. Post training, UWs will work from home
4. Equipment etc will be provided by IT team
5. Per diem as per corporate guidelines – attached guide contains the required details
Underwriting Services Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Underwriter
Overview
An Underwriter is responsible for completing risk assessment for all application or Life Insurance product, completing all system updates and investigation required to support the application during the underwriting cycle of a new business application. The individual must have knowledge and experience working within AURA, Onbase, New Business Now and applicable administration systems. They should have clear understanding of Underwriting guidelines, rate changes, risk assessment methodology for Life Insurance business.
Essential Duties
• Underwriting – Life applications for new customers
• Experience level – 5+ years of overall underwriting experience, life/ disability experience preferrable
• Experience with Canadian life insurance underwriting rules would be a plus
• Willing to work in individual contributor role
Qualifications
Skills
• Understanding of individual insurance business, in particular the new business processing cycle
• Life insurance underwriter with approval limit up to $1Mn
• Look for recent underwriting experience (within last 2-3 years)
• Sound working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Good communication, confidence, open to learning systems and tools
Requirements
• Understanding of different underwriting and reinsurance manuals; i.e. Swiss Re, RGA, Munich, GenRe is a plus
• Accreditations like FLMI, AALU, CLU, FALU
• College degree or other post-secondary education
• Ability to multi-task and handle varying volumes of work on a daily basis, while maintaining service standards
