This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal, site‑based executive role where you will influence strategy, enable service growth and help position Epworth Freemasons for long‑term sustainability in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

The Opportunity
As Director – Epworth Freemasons Growth Strategy, you will lead the development and delivery of the site’s growth agenda, translating strategic ambition into a coordinated, achievable and well‑governed program of work.
Partnering closely with the Executive General Manager, Epworth Freemasons, the Freemasons Executive team and Epworth Group Executives, you will oversee a complex portfolio of growth initiatives — ensuring they are strategically aligned, appropriately resourced and deliver measurable performance outcomes.
You will be a trusted advisor at executive level, responsible for shaping business models, developing high‑quality business cases and providing insightful reporting and briefings to support informed decision‑making.
Just as importantly, you will build strong, credible relationships across clinical, operational and corporate teams — working collaboratively with VMOs and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure growth initiatives are clinically sound, operationally viable and sustainable.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading the development and execution of the Epworth Freemasons Growth Strategy
- Establishing and governing a multi‑stream program of work with clear milestones, dependencies and outcomes
- Designing robust business models, investment proposals and business cases for executive approval
- Providing high‑quality dashboards, reporting, insights and executive briefings
- Building trusted relationships with executive leaders, clinicians, VMOs and multidisciplinary teams
- Identifying and managing risks, resourcing requirements and interdependencies
- Driving strategic business development initiatives in partnership with senior leaders
Qualifications
About you
You are a senior healthcare leader with demonstrated success delivering major growth, transformation or performance initiatives in complex Australian acute hospital environments.
You bring a strong understanding of hospital operations, funding models and VMO engagement, and you are comfortable influencing at executive level. You are a strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, lead through others and maintain momentum across competing priorities.
You are highly organised, outcomes‑focused and resilient, with strong analytical capability and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in health (with business or project management qualifications highly regarded)
- Senior leadership experience within an Australian acute hospital environment
- Proven success delivering large‑scale growth, transformation or performance initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capability
- Experience developing business cases, business models and executive‑level reporting
