Job Description
The Senior Regional Sales Director directs the development of Clean Earth strategies and product/service offerings within a regional geography. In this role you will provide the leadership, development, and direction for the implementation of business/sales strategies to maximize revenue and profits through maintenance of existing customers, growth within existing customers, and through acquiring new customers. This senior level position is responsible for $90M+ in revenue per year.
Base Salary: $163,000- $188,906
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of field team of Sales personnel within designated region in order to achieve objectives.
- Direct and manage the recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and development of sales staff.
- Serve as a regional liaison between Regional Sales Team and the Regional Operations Director, Regional Operations, Customer Service, Facility, Plant, Transportation, Finance, Program Manager(s) and the customer to exceed service requirements.
- Coordinate, implement and manage regional account sales strategies with the Technical Sales team to drive cross-selling across business lines.
- Direct and manage sales productivity and profitability in an effort to achieve designated profit and revenue objectives within respective geographical responsibility.
- Direct and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, maintenance, proposals, contracts, price increases, bids, and contract renewals. (Non-Hazardous Waste, Sustainability, Emergency Response, DEA Waste and Hazardous Waste).
- Coordinate, implement, and manage regional account sales strategies. Strategize with National Account Director and National Account Managers to develop National accounts within the region.
- Operate within designated expense budgets and report regional sales results.
- Develop, maintain, and utilize pricing models for all major markets and implements service agreements that are consistent with company's financial objectives. Manage sales productivity and profitability within assigned geography, in an effort to achieve designated profit objectives.
- Where needed, coordinate/foster business relationships with third party companies that may be supporting certain solutions to the customer.
- Manage Salesforce Activities to ensure sales cycle stages and track team’s performance. Ensure KPIs are met, along with structured programs from Pathways to Growth – regarding meeting cadence and Business Plan reviews.
- Ensure customer retention and profitable revenue growth through new account acquisition and increased volumes/wallet share from current clients.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
- Ability to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
- Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
Qualifications
- Education: (BA or BS degree required or preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, Environmental/Science, demonstrating a proven track record of sales for products/services in similar industry
- Experience: (Required minimum of years of relevant experience.)
- Ten or more years of sales experience, including five or more years of sales management experience
- Skills: (The skills listed are the abilities and knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)
- Solid knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively build teams and coach for professional development
