We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager (Retail) to join Endeavour Business Services on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Payment Services, you will be the operational lead for our Retail Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring our retail invoices are paid accurately, on time, and in full. This role plays a critical part in our broader transformation journey, providing leadership and oversight to an offshore retail payables team, driving automation, and jointly enabling the successful rollout of a new SAP ERP implementation

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Payables Processes & Offshore Governance: Oversee daily operations and SLAs/KPIs for our offshore processing team, enforcing strict adherence to Group Procurement Policy and Delegation of Authority (DoA) while acting as the primary escalation point for processing discrepancies.
• ERP Implementation & Process Improvement: Play a key role in testing and defect management for our new SAP ERP, leading pre- and post-go-live process delivery, system optimization, and the transition to electronic invoice methods (including COUPA for non-trade procurement).
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the senior contact for critical suppliers to resolve complex disputes, protect supply chain relationships, and oversee weekly supplier payment runs in coordination with Group Treasury.
• Balance Sheet & Compliance: Drive GR/IR stewardship, lead month-end AP close and sub-ledger reconciliations, manage accruals for un-invoiced liabilities, and coordinate half-year and full-year external audit deliverables.
• Transition Enablement: Lead the onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer to offshore teams as we transition toward a centralized payables model.

Now let’s talk about you: 

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Shared Services, or Global Business Services, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing Payments, Treasury, or P2P/O2C functions.
• Proven track record managing offshore or outsourced shared service delivery models with high engagement and performance outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with major Finance technology programs (ideally SAP ERP implementations), change management, process simplification, and system automation.
• Deep understanding of AP and relevant financial reporting standards, supported by a CPA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent practical qualification.
• Strong ability to drive results through governance and influence, build high-performing teams, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
