Elevate K-12 is changing the way classrooms work through live, online, real-time instruction to K-12 schools. Our two main focuses are to give students the best quality instructors and to give instructors, especially women, work opportunities, irrespective of zip codes. We are the new way to classroom!

The Person:

Dreams, breathes and thinks about how to make teaching better to appeal to the current generation of K-12 students. You are someone who has a driving passion to bring joy and success to students as they learn. The right individual will be excited to combine technology with a traditional education background to bring the joy and a-ha moments in learning each day.

The Job:

• Plan for innovative teaching strategies across all classes

• Design out-of-the-box teaching methodologies

• Support and improve delivery of curriculum in an online platform

• Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with Elevate K-12 standards in a virtual environment

• Work with curriculum team and leadership to design and provide professional development that will focus on improving the delivery of lessons.

• Analyze student data, diagnose needs of instructional improvement, and identify strategies to close achievement gaps.

• Observe instruction and provide feedback to improve

• A Bachelor’s degree required, a Master’s degree a plus

• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in a middle or high school

• Coaching or mentoring experience in a traditional classroom setting

• A high level of personal and professional integrity

• Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills, including giving and receiving constructive feedback.

• Exposure to digital technology in schools

• Strong pedagogical knowledge

• Proficiency in time planning and management

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Detail oriented with strong organization skills

• Experience in EdTech a huge plus!

• Must be able to work in out of our Chicago office
