We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced COBOL Developer to contribute to the success of our project.

As a COBOL Developer at EGS, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of COBOL programming principles and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a COBOL Programmer/Developer
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming language
• Knowledge of databases and SQL
• Familiarity with mainframe environments and technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand business requirements to develop technical specifications
• Code, test, and debug COBOL programs to meet project requirements
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain and enhance existing COBOL applications
• Provide support and troubleshooting for production systems
