Job Description

To ensure compliance with QCS 2014, applicable HSE regulations, and project-specific safety requirements while promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily HSE inspections and site audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and HSE regulations.
  • Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices across all work activities.
  • Review, verify, and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
  • Assess and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) to ensure suitability and compliance.
  • Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training sessions.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, hazardous occurrences, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
  • Participate in and coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and implement environmental protection measures.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the Client, consultants, and subcontractors on all HSE-related matters.
  • Support internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe acts or unsafe conditions are identified.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of QCS 2014, applicable HSE regulations, and safety management systems.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 4 years of HSE experience in the GCC region.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance.
