Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Design Engineer specializing in ELV (Electrical, Lighting, and Vertical Transportation) systems to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive BIM models and coordinating ELV systems across complex building projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration and compliance with building standards and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical, lighting, and vertical transportation systems using industry-standard software
- Coordinate ELV systems with other building disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for ELV systems in compliance with Indian building codes and project standards
- Conduct 3D modeling and visualization of electrical and lighting layouts to optimize design efficiency
- Perform clash detection and coordination analysis using BIM coordination tools
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate representation of ELV systems in the overall building model
- Review and validate BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
- Support project delivery by providing timely BIM updates and coordinating with consultants and contractors
- Maintain organized project files and documentation following established BIM protocols and standards
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical input on ELV system integration
Qualifications
- Proficiency in BIM modeling software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or equivalent platforms
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems design, including electrical distribution, lighting design, and vertical transportation
- Competency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools
- Experience with MEP coordination and clash detection methodologies
- Solid understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations applicable to India
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills
- 3-7 years of professional experience in BIM design, MEP coordination, or related engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience with ELV systems on commercial or institutional projects
- Familiarity with BIM coordination standards and best practices
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams
- Preferred experience with Navisworks or similar clash detection and coordination software
- Preferred knowledge of Indian building codes and standards (National Building Code of India)
