Job Description

As a Bridges Leader within Egis’ Transport business line, your impact will be in the operational and business growth leadership for NSW, ensuring the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. In this opportunity, you will report into the Regional Director of Building Engineering ANZ and will be instrumental in developing Egis’ presence in the NSW market in line with the broader business strategy.  

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Bridges Engineer with demonstrated leadership skills, keen business development skills and significant technical expertise, ready for the next step in their career.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and undertake the delivery of transport infrastructure projects for key clients across the private and public sectors in NSW.
  • Identify business growth opportunities for NSW region in alignment with Egis’ overall strategy.
  • Lead bids and tender activities and produce high quality documentation as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by championing service delivery by accurately understanding client requirements.
  • Lead the establishment of discipline-related policies and procedures financially, technically and contractually.
  • Produce accurate and quality design documentation/specifications, high level and complex technical reports, project progress and performance reports.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, and within set budget constraints.
  • Implement effective risk and cost management measures across projects and services.
  • Ensure company and client commitments and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Undertake all project and financial reporting responsibilities, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.
  • Direct the day-to-day allocation of team resources to meet project requirements, identifying priorities and organising tasks accordingly.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have 10+ years’ professional experience as a Bridges Engineer with the ability to project manage complex projects through their full-life cycle within budget and on time within a consultancy environment. You will also demonstrate passion and dedication to the growth of a team of professionals and development of new business opportunities.  

You will also have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with significant Bridges expertise and proven track record of specialist knowledge.
  • Registered in the applicable stated based engineering certifications (such as RPEng, RPEQ, CPEng, NER or equivalent accreditation).
  • Strong business development ability with sound commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
  • Proven people leadership capabilities including ability to guide and motivate team.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of NSW authorities and codes with established TfNSW relationships
  • Strong project delivery and management skills across the lifestyle of medium to large scale projects
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills with focus on fostering business growth and nurturing strong client relationships
  • Strong communication skills to interpret, analyse and communicate information of a complex nature to non-engineers within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management
  • Sound computer and software literary
