Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Façade Consultant to join our team in Brisbane. This role will see you working closely with architects and developers to lead the design, tendering, procurement, and construction of world-class projects whilst also enhancing your own personal skills in design and materials.
About the Role
Attributes and role:
- Enjoys problem-solving and has a keen eye for detail
- Leading teams to develop project-specific solutions
- Overseeing junior staff, providing technical guidance and mentoring
- Lead projects by attending workshops with clients and architects to discuss project details
- Developing façade system concepts based on architectural concepts
- Working with contractors to see design realised through workshops and shop drawing reviews
- Project management and administration on a daily basis
- Attending site/factory/mock-up test inspections and producing detailed reports
- Providing support to projects across Inhabit offices
- Providing regular updates of project progress to supervisor
- Exploring the latest technology and software to help develop the business
- An active interest in other specialist disciplines
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in the façade industry or 6+ years building design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent written and spoken English
Highly Regarded Skills & Attributes
The following will be considered advantageous for the application:
- A degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar
- Knowledge of 3D design software (Rhino, Revit, Sketchup, etc.)
- Knowledge of 3D geometrical analysis (Grasshopper, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of graphics software (Affinity, InDesign, etc.)
- Experience in various fundamental engineering software packages
