Job Description
MUST Be US Citizen for FedGov Clearance! We are the Employer!
PEOPLESOFT SYSTEMS ENGINEER - REMOTE / EAST COAST HOURS
• Supports and leads major initiatives and coordinates projects for the technical team related to the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 application.
• Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).
• Defines customers’ needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
• Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Hardware and software upgrades
• Software and application patching
• Support VMware ESXi and vCloud/vCAC infrastructures on Cisco UCS and similar hardware platforms
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Windows / RedHat infrastructures and related technologies
• Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Implements warranty and support activities.
• Plans and implements system automation as required for better efficiency.
• Oversees the development of customized software and hardware requirement.
• Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and monitor systems and infrasturcture – 50% • Installs, configures, and tests operating systems – 20% • Upgrade/Patch management – 10% • Diagnose and troubleshoot Windows / RedHat infrastructures – 10% • Ad hoc activites – 10%
This is Remote work, 40 hour per week, for 1 year to start with options to extend!
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years minimum with above tasks/duties including Develop engineering applications for a large federal agency, systems technology, Windows Server and Red Hat operating systems, Active Directory and Exchange administration, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL and SSH, Operating Systems and system components: memory, CPU, kernel in a FedGov Software/Systems enterprise enviornment.
- REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS/BA Business or Related Fields (Masters Preferred).
- REQUIRED CLEARANCE: US Citizen to qualify for clearance.
