Job Description

The Discovery Internship Program will enable you to discover the most trusted sustainability ratings from within and see how the different teams are working together in the truly CSR business environment. As part of our growth, we are seeking two passionate .NET Developer Interns to specialize in enhancing our code quality and operational stability by addressing bugs and technical debt. You'll work closely with our experienced developers and have a direct impact on our customer satisfaction by improving the overall user experience.

The Role:
As a .NET Developer Intern, you will dive deep into our software ecosystem, with a special focus on bug identification, analysis, and resolution, as well as reducing our technical debt using SonarQube insights. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the backbone of our software solutions while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our software, working closely with the Customer Support team to understand client issues and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of senior developers to identify, prioritize, and resolve bugs reported by users or the QA team.
  • Analyze SonarQube reports to identify technical debt issues, including code smells, security vulnerabilities, and code duplications, and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Support team to understand user-reported issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and contribute to maintaining high coding standards.
  • Assist in developing documentation for resolved issues to improve the knowledge base for both the development and support teams.
  • Engage in agile development practices and participate in scrum meetings, providing updates on progress and obstacles.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with .NET framework and C# programming.
Basic understanding of software development principles and lifecycle.
Interest in learning code analysis tools like SonarQube.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn and take on challenging tasks.
