Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager. The ideal candidate will lead a team of BI Analytics and Analytics Engineers experts focused on client-based data solutions. This role requires expertise in fostering individual growth, especially in leveraging new technologies like advanced analytics and generative AI. The role will play a pivotal role in the development of a highly skilled team of experts, emphasizing continuous learning, mentorship, and career advancement. Additionally, the candidate will support the adoption Scrum methodology to improve Agile delivery and collaborate closely with Product Owners to ensure that quality standards are adhered to by the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Lead and Mentoring:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4+ Data experts to enhance their proficiency in SQL, Tableau development, advanced analytics techniques, and emerging technologies.

  • Act as a Scrum Master for the team along with Product owner, facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage a group of BI Analysts (Experts designing Tableau solutions) and Analytics Engineers, ensuring the creation of innovative and client-centric reporting and insights solutions.

  • Implement and manage Scrum practices to optimize team performance and Data Product delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams, Product teams, business leaders, IT, and data architects.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to align Data strategies with organizational goals, ensuring the effective use of analytics for informed decision-making.

Team Development:

  • Drive continuous learning and skill development within the team to adapt to evolving industry trends.

  • Drive the professional development of team members, emphasizing skills in advanced analytics, data product development, communication, and stakeholder management.

Data Strategy:

  • Develop strategies to stay at the forefront of technology, integrating advanced analytics and generative AI into the BI customer facing solutions.

Governance and Quality Standards:

  • Ensure adherence to data governance principles and maintenance of  quality standards for data and analytics outputs.

  • Implement Quality Assurance (QA) processes to ensure high standards of deliverables from developers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience (>5 years) in a similar role, preferably in a BI and Analytics environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • In-depth knowledge of data mesh, data governance and BI and Analytics management

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Experience in implementing advanced analytics and generative AI solutions (Is a plus) 

  • Previous experience in BI and analytics tools, such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms

  • Proficiency in using Databricks for analytics workflows or similar platforms  is a plus

  • Experience in Agile methodologies  including Scrum.
