Job Description

You will help support EcoVadis Americas and global enterprise legal matters, such as  

  • Review, advise, and negotiate enterprise B2B SaaS agreements, addenda, amendments, NDAs, SOWs, business partnership agreements, settlement agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business units such as compliance, information security, and finance to determine acceptable risk
  • Contribute to improving and creating playbooks, clause library, template standard form agreements, and contract management system implementation
  • Create and present training materials as needed across the team
  • Research and advise on diverse legal issues and regulatory compliance matters

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • License to practice law with active membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar
  • Ability to work business hours from a U.S. time zone  
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Fluency in English with good oral and written communication skills
  • 3 years post-licensure legal experience in a U.S. law firm or in-house legal department
  • 2 years post-licensure legal experience focused on drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements   
  • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills: commercial transactions, SaaS subscription agreements, technology master agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Attuned to detail
  • Adept with professional interpersonal relationships
  • Skilled with identifying and creative problem solving to mitigate and prioritize risks appropriate to the business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-house with a technology company supporting SaaS sales
  • Knowledge in data privacy, information security, GDPR, intellectual property
  • Experience reviewing and redlining contractual insurance terms per the applicable policy scope of coverage and services being provided
  • Interest in learning the EcoVadis sustainability services business, working with a talented global team, and serving as an effective legal counsel with a high degree of independence and autonomy
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for legal drafting, legal research on diverse areas of the law impacting the business, and proactively identifying risk

  • Salary Range: $110 - 120K USD
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes [USD 10 - 12K annually]
  • Location: anywhere in the U.S.
  • Reports to: Americas General Counsel
