Job Description

People Operations Associate will be responsible to help Managers, Team Leaders and employees to accomplish HR related tasks such as administrative involving documenting grievances, terminations, absences, recruitment, performance reports, compensation and benefits information.

Daily job duties:

  • Answering Employee Queries

  • Processing incoming mail.

  • Creating and distributing documents

  • Providing Customer Service to Organization employees.

  • Maintaining the HRIS computer system by updating and entering data (BambooHr/Dashboard) 

Recruitment: 

  • Assist the local Recruiter in the recruitment process when/where applicable
  • Ensuring background and reference check are completed;

Onboarding Process:

  • Preparing new employee files;

  • Keeping of all HR related records either manually or on any HRIS system, maintain employee files and the HR filing system; 

  • Orienting new employees to the organization (Setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc);

  • Assist in the preparation of offer letter and Contract;

  • Conducting benefits enrollment process (Medical, parking, Gym, Pension etc);

  • Serving as a point person for all new employee questions;

Payroll and HR Service Administration:

  • Provide accurate  payroll information in a timely manner for Payroll processing;

  • Provide all documents as evidence for payroll processing;

  • Assist HR team in compensation and benefits administration and record keeping - Medical, Parking, Bonusly, Gym etc;

  • Pension administration - Send member form to joiners and advise Payroll accordingly;

  • Ensuring Vacation and Sick time request are tracked and maintained on BambooHR;

  • Assist in organizing events, e.g. training, seminars, workshops, conference, meetings, corporate; events, health day, checks and sensitization campaigns, corporate spirit team activities, What’s Up Sessions, end of Year Get Together, etc.;

  • Drafting of routing HR Letters;

  • Assist in dealing with all matters relating to Human Resources - replying to employee queries in a timely manner;

  • Assist HR team in provision of uniforms and protective equipment;

  • Assist  on various committees to provide HR support and to monitor activities and completion of goals;

  • Assist HR team in preparation of Per Diem and other traveling allowances;

  • To perform other duties directly related to the HR department.

Offboarding:

  • Manage Offboarding dashboard

  • Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews

  • Assist HR team in processing separation of employees including retiring benefits, payment of allowances, liaising with relevant institutions etc

  • Assist in termination 

Performance Management:

  • Maintaining records related to grievances, performance review, and disciplinary action

HR Project:

  • To assist the HR team and deliver one project according to the employee satisfaction survey.

  • To Suggest an HR project, win validation and deliver with respect to the deadline and high quality delivery.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources Management or related fields.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of microsoft office tools.

Location: Ebene, Mauritius

Starting date: ASAP

Position: Permanent Contract (Probation period of 6 months)
