Job Description

As a Service Desk and Support Specialist in IT Services, you will be called to assist our internal users with technical issues or questions relating to the modern workspace services at EcoVadis. This includes but is not restricted to user identities, workstations, network and enterprise applications. You will be managing requests and incidents from customers mainly through our service desk and communicating with them through the mentioned tool or over our messaging platforms, helping customers diagnose technical issues and resolving those. You will also be called to assist more senior members of the team on various problems and projects, and support the more junior members with complex tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide high quality, professional and responsive support service to all users across the business on a range of different technologies, hence allowing them to complete their job seamlessly.
  • Support and train end users on solutions managed and maintained by the IT department.
  • Ensure requests and incidents are attended to within agreed SLAs and OLAs.
  • Manage the technical documentation where appropriate and propose improvements on same.
  • Be the technical referral for desktop support and other information systems.
  • Install, test and maintain corporate workstations and office peripherals.
  • Patching network devices, workstations, and phones.
  • Monitor WAN/LAN efficiency and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure High availability of office IT infrastructure, whenever required.
  • Manage end-user account lifecycle on enterprise applications based on recommendations and guidelines from the Authorizations team.
  • Assist in managing, monitoring and troubleshooting network systems including Firewalls and switches, under the supervision and direction of the Network team/
  • Use the IdP solution based on guidelines of Authorizations teams. 
  • Manage and Coordinate inventory, stock and purchase of ICT equipment.
  • Participate in infrastructure related projects.
  • Propose enhancement to existing IT procedures, processes and tooling's used as part of the Service Desk and Support activities.
  • Reporting on infrastructure support and systems.
  • Provide assistance for IT related projects.
  • Assist internal and external teams for various audits, including Quality, Information Security and Cyber Security audits.
  • Liaise with suppliers as part of operational tasks.

Qualifications

  • Holder of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • At least 3 year work experience in IT Support environment 
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of Operating systems including Windows 10 and macOS. Knowledge and hands-on experience of Linux and Android is a plus.
  • Technical certifications like A+, Network+ and Security+ are a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, GCP. 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace/GSuite products/Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge and understanding of KPIs and SLAs
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to systematize and prioritize.
  • Attentive focus on end-users and business goals, with ability to translate business needs into IT specifications.
  • Fluency in English required – written and verbal
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal, comfortable participating in workshops and presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and strong problem solving skills
  • Versatile and multitasking.
