EcoVadis is seeking a Billing and Collection Intern to join the Finance team in Mauritius.  

This position is responsible for full-cycle multi-currency accounts receivable; including billing, billing modifications, processing incoming payments, collections and reconciling customer accounts. This position interacts with internal and external customers on a daily basis and must provide a consistently high level of customer service and ethics.

 Core responsibilities:

• Take appropriate action to resolve and/or identify significant collection and billing issues and escalate appropriately.

• Promptly responding to customer queries via email, phone, and other channels where required.

• Receive and share customer feedback with colleagues and other departments so that products and services can be improved.

• Attend workshops and meetings as required.

• Respect client confidentiality at all times.

• Collaborate with EcoVadis internal stakeholders to resolve any billing and collection queries efficiently and effectively.

• Assist with a variety of internal projects based on the needs of the organization.

• Liaise with international colleagues from all departments regularly to assist and add value to the EcoVadis global mission.

• Assist in the day to day billing and collection duties (print invoices, update files according to the existing processes)

• Any other duties related to this role.

• Fluency in English and French is a must. Additional languages will be a plus.

• Degree in a Business, Management or Finance related discipline would be preferred, but applicants with other backgrounds will be considered.

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and telephone)

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Experience with Microsoft Office
