Job Description

As our People Operations Senior Manager, you will oversee all HR and office operations in the North America Region,  develop the HR agenda and provide premium support to both leadership and staff members in order to offer the best purposeful employee experience in a diverse and inclusive workplace.

As  a regional expert you will be in charge of implementing specific people strategies in line with the company vision and values; and the global HR strategy.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Chief People Officer, based in Paris, to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company strategy and goals in order to attract and retain employees
  • Responsible for all matters pertaining to employee relations, recruitment, selection, benefits administration, training & development, career management, labor relations, health & safety and compliance with government legislation
  • Closely collaborate with local  leaders to assess training needs and provide solutions in employee development
  • Be the business partner of local managers, guiding and coaching them on all HR and organizational topics
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements in the different regions in America where we operate,  enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Manage all People Operations functions, such as onboarding / offboarding, compensation and benefits, payroll & administration, and supports employees and manager’s queries for the North America region 
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations 
  • Oversee the local office operation to ensure the proper function of the office, supplies, etc.
  • Oversee the organization of  employee engagement events to nurture a positive working environment
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure successful recruitment and onboarding on new employees
  • Participate in specific HR projects 
  • Remain agile to ever evolving business needs and embrace the opportunities that come with joining a fast growing company where your scope is likely to increase over time

Qualifications

We're looking for a People Operations Senior Manager driven by employee enablement. Active listening skills will be one of your key strengths as will be the desire to discover the genuine causes of any issues before considering possible solutions. At EcoVadis, you will join a global team of HR professionals who understand that creating an environment that supports colleagues to do their job to the best of their ability helps the business achieve its purpose. In addition, you will bring:

  • HR/Business degree
  • Minimum 8 years of HR / People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth tech company
  • Experience Managing HR operations in USA and Canada is a must 
  • Fluent in English is mandatory and Spanish is an asset 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in an international and multicultural environment - to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork 
  • Location: Toronto (Hybrid) Able to work in Toronto Downtown at least twice a week
