Job Description

In this role you will ensure that employees and managers have a positive employee experience by:

  • Supporting recruitment, employer branding and onboarding needs (50%)
  • Ensuring HR processes compliance (30%)
  • Assisting managers in people operations management (10%)
  • Answering any questions, concerns or requests in a timely manner (10%)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting full cycle recruitment, posting job ads (internal and external), collecting resumes, contacting candidates, planning and carrying out tests,  leading recruitment interviews, assisting managers in the selection, and preparing work contracts. 
  • Collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions internally and externally before proceeding with the job adverts.
  • Taking part in the onboarding and orientation of new employees to the organization.
  • Being the main point of contact for management and support staff regarding day-to-day HR operations, best practices, policies and procedures
  • Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintaining compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews or amend policies and practices to maintain compliance. 
  • Raising any HR purchase request on Netsuite, liaising and following up with the appropriate department for all payments related to HR matters.
  • Assisting and responding to employee queries, or re-directing them through the proper channel to solve their issues.
  • Taking part in the offboarding process of leavers and administrative paperworks.
  • Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
  • Maintaining personal files, updating data in the HRIS.
  • Participating and coordinating HR local projects or global projects depending on the needs of the department.
  • Providing backup support for benefits and payroll administration when needed
  • Additional responsibilities related to the function may be required.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Human Resources Management or related fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources and full cycle recruitment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication In English, a second language is a plus
  • Flexibility with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work 1-2 days per week in out Toronto office (Downtown)
