Job Description

The IT Service Manager will join a multidisciplinary technology team and would be responsible to drive the service support at EcoVadis while evolving the team, scope, and processes involved.

MISSION

The IT Service Manager is responsible for leading, developing, mentoring and auditing the quality control of the IT Services Support Team, spread across multiple regions. She/He is also responsible for overseeing the daily global operations of Service Desk for IT Support while ensuring customer SLAs are met, as well as participating as an active member of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Support and Service Management teams.
  • Manage the teams' workload, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the team growth through mentoring, capacity planning and recruitment.
  • Extend and align service offering based on business needs and technology changes.
  • Develop and operate the service management tools.
  • Develop, plan and implement service and/or support-related tools like CMDB.
  • Manage and improve the processes for triaging, channeling and handling of requests.
  • Being the escalation point for your team members.
  • Lead the planning, implementation and support of ad-hoc projects
  • Work closely with HR on staffing needs, participate and improve the on/off boarding and training processes.
  • Collaborate with the other departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports customer needs
  • Complete regular performance reviews and develop team members
  • Develop, implement, monitor and improve a performance metric system for service management
  • Manage the IT equipment lifecycle including stock and purchase management for all offices.
  • Research new technologies and their utilization to improve business operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in IT/IS or a relevant field.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is required; higher levels would be an advantage..
  • At least 4 years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the IT Support sector. 
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Proven experience in managing service and support focused team culture.
  • Good communication skills with a strong customer focus. 
  • Good English proficiency is required, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask efficiently under pressure.

Core Competency Requirements 

  • Strong technical knowledge of the various technologies: Microsoft Windows, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Azure Active Directory, API, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VOIP, Firewall, Routers, Switches.
  • Excellent analytical skills working actively on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including communication, mentoring, coaching, and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment where flexibility, tolerance and respect for other cultures is a must.
  • Good understanding of KPIs, SLAs and metrics used in the service sector
  • Good understanding of ITIL and/or ISO 20001 standards
