Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Senior Manager for Private Equity and Sustainable Finance. The Sales Senior Manager will report to our SVP Sales, with a dotted line to the VP New Solutions.

With its historical solution, EcoVadis Ratings for Procurement, EcoVadis has revolutionized the way large organizations and their procurement departments are addressing sustainable development issues in their supply chain. Building on this success, EcoVadis New Solutions expands its reach and impact to other markets and other use cases by diversifying EcoVadis solutions portfolio.

We have currently several use cases in Sustainable Finance: 

  • Private Equity firms assess and monitor the sustainability of their portfolio companies

  • Banks build ESG-linked loans based on sustainability performance of their borrowers

  • Banks and Corporate design a Sustainable Supply Chain Finance Program based on the sustainability performance of suppliers

 

We are looking for a Sales Senior Manager to play a key role in developing our new business of serving Private Equity firms and other Finance players globally.

The Sales  Senior Manager’s primary goal will be to maximize the company’s sales revenue coming from new business in Private Equity and Sustainable Finance globally by leading and coaching the dedicated Sales team:

  • Define and implement an ambitious sales strategy for this new market

  • Set targets, performance plans and objective standards for the dedicated team

  • Constantly optimize sales processes and ensure that your team uses tools, such as Salesforce, correctly

  • Lead and coach an international sales team and help them engage with new clients

  • Mentor Sales Development Representatives to build and run a pipeline 

  • Review performance, progress, and targets

  • Recruit, select, onboard, and train new sales team members

  • Provide inputs to EcoVadis value proposition, contribute to market analysis, in close collaboration with the New Solutions team

  • Act as a role model for the team and in accordance to the Ecovadis core values

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Sustainability 

  • Experience in sales - Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling and managing sales team members

  • Expertise of the Private Equity sector

  • Expertise on ESG / Sustainability topics and their use in Sustainable Finance

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn would be a plus

  • Understanding of SaaS platforms

  • Entrepreneurial mindset  - ability to pursue new and unprecedented opportunities, pushing beyond “the known”, taking bold steps

  • Driving success - Takes action, initiates activity and seizes opportunities for new business; pursues goals with persistence and achieves outstanding results.

  • Multitasking & prioritization - ability to handle several responsibilities, work under time constraints, adapt to rapidly changing events and environments, judge priorities, keep track of details.

  • Relationship skills - Ability to listen, Interact well with others, quickly establish rapport, Build relationships, and take account of the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Market and product - ability to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of product components, design, features and benefits when communicating product features or design and tailoring the message to meet customer needs.

  • Presentation and Communication skills, oral and written - Ability to present information and findings clearly so they can be understood by a variety of audiences with different levels of knowledge and interests.

  • Troubleshooting - ability to resolve issues by diagnosing problems, determining possible resolutions and implementing effective solutions.
