Job Description

To fuel our expansion and support our global business needs, we are seeking for an experienced Technical Localization Specialist to join our Product Management team. This role will be responsible for streamlining our localization processes to ensure the highest quality of our product in all languages. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensure internationalization at the coding level, e.g. RTL, date formats, complex tagging; 
  • Checks various file types for localization issues prior to the translation process in TMS/CAT tools;
  • Supports end-to-end translation workflow with automations and integrations - Wordpress, Figma, internal tools, CMS;
  • Explores and expands the use of TMS features, e.g. project automation, storage of translation IDs in Memsource; 
  • Manages the Term Base, harvests terms proactively;
  • Manages Translation Memories, e.g. regular clean-ups of deprecated terms or offline translation updates;
  • Creates, maintains and archives new segmentation rules, filter configurations etc. and utilities to pre- and post-process localizable content;
  • Coordinates LQA in test environment, produces localized and pseudo-localized assets for the LQA team to identify and report issues;
  • Works closely with App Support to coordinate fixes for bugs found by product users;
  • Identifies and resolves issues as they arise while planning to mitigate future issues or risks;
  • Drives initiatives related to translation quality and process improvements;
  • Identifies technology gaps, proposes plans, and implements new technologies;
  • Sees into selecting a CMS; 
  • Helps to create and maintain processes documentation;
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with numerous teams and vendors to set, manage, and meet stakeholder expectations;
  • Processes and integrates feedback from stakeholders;
  • Supports the localization team in peak times

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or masters degree in Localization, Linguistics, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in localization, linguistics, translation, or related experience
  • Professional English fluency or bilingual English (additional languages are a significant plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel, basic familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and character encodings (e.g. Unicode, UTF8, ANSI, ASCII, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of the market and all stages of development
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • A highly collaborative and innovative spirit & a whole lot of flexibility
  • A keen eye for detail
