Job Description

Mission

  • Provide high quality and sustainable administrative support to all employees.

  • Attend to internal and external employees’ queries and complaints

Core responsibilities

Office management and Administration

  • Maintain adequate stock of office supplies.

  • Ensure that the office and all office equipment are maintained in good condition and arrange for necessary repairs and maintenance as and when required.

  • Attend and provide solutions to employees’ queries and complaints.

  • Work with Senior Management to develop and implement office administrative systems/procedures.

  • Develop and ensure compliance to Office House rules and regulations.

  • Assist the Health and Safety Officer in identifying and addressing building, equipment, safety, security and any other health and safety issues.

  • Organize and coordinate administrative tasks with different committees for corporate events (such as team building, EV birthdays , office parties, outdoor training, blood donation day,  etc).

  • Undertake additional responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be required.

Accounting & Finance

  • Record and process invoices, receipts and payments.

  • Assist the Office Manager in regular reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit cards 

  • Assist the Office Manager in other financial tasks such as audit, tagging, banking .

  • Assist the Office Manager in maintaining the Asset Register & Depreciation Schedule.

  • Handle custody of petty cash 

Qualifications

Knowledge and competencies required

EcoVadis Competencies:

  • Minimum HSC level with 2 years experience in administration and accounting.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Energetic, willing and ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Maintains a good professional working relationship with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Ensure the needs of all company stakeholders are met in a professional and timely manner.

  • Ability to deal with crisis situations.

Requirements

Technical skills:

  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles. 

  • Knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office especially Word & Excel.

Location: Based in Ebene, Cybercity, Mauritius

Employment Type: Permanent Contract upon satisfactory completion of 6 months’ probation.
