We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our growing R&D Team, responsible for using machine learning to drive innovation across the organization. . The position is based in Paris. 

Your global responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. 

• Articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data.

• Build and maintain data-driven optimization models, experiments, forecasting algorithms, and machine learning models.

• Benchmark your model against the current ones.

• Innovate by adapting new Machine Learning/NLP algorithms

• Drive data science best practices and mentoring junior team members

• Stay in close customer contact to evaluate the needs and come up with solutions that increase customer satisfaction and drive business value

• Stay on top of technology trends in the area of, but not limited to, AI and ML and apply this knowledge to the key challenges ahead of EcoVadis 

• PhD or Master’s degree in quantitative discipline(Statistics/Applied Math, Data Science, Applied Linguistics and Text Analytics, Computer Science) 

• 5+ years of overall experience in Machine Learning/NLP and data mining techniques

• Excellent understanding of NLP techniques - Named entity recognition(NER),  word embeddings, Recurrent Neural Networks(RNN), Transformers, Question Answering

• Excellent understanding of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms, such as Naive Baye, Decision trees,  Gradient boosting.

• Proficiency in Python

• Any experiences with Multimodal Machine Learning would be a distinct advantage.
