Job Description

To fuel our expansion and drive more value for our rated company customers (primarily suppliers of large requesting companies) we are seeking an experienced and dynamic person to lead the Rated Company Business Development role (Sr. Manager or Director level). “Rated Companies” are those that have taken the EcoVadis sustainability assessment and have been given a scorecard on their performance; this is then shared to the “Requesting” company - usually a customer or investor of the Rated Company.  There are approximately 75,000 companies/suppliers in the EcoVadis network today, sharing their scorecards with over 650 Requesting companies..

This role will be responsible for orchestrating a small but effective team to support the Rated Company journey with EcoVadis, from taking the sustainability assessment through understanding their scorecards, to marketing their success and working on improving performance.  Your group will identify and execute on ways to engage current Rated Companies while also attracting new companies to be rated.  You will work to grow the EcoVadis network, and optimize usage and adoption of EcoVadis solutions, increasing revenue and strengthening Net Promoter Scores.  The role will include Rated Company insight development, solution and feature development, messaging and content development, campaign execution, events and community-building.

What you will be doing:

  • Support EcoVadis’ strategic growth goals by attracting and converting new Rated Companies, driving adoption of our current solutions, ideating new solutions/features, and expanding Rated Company programs. 
  • Map the Rated Company customer journey / lifecycle, drive to customer insights, and support all pre- and post-assessment stages with relevant messages, content and engagement.  Be the voice of the Rated Company throughout EcoVadis.
  • Working closely with our Rated Company Engagement team, your team will develop and execute collateral and campaigns to retain and upsell Rated Companies, keep them engaged with EcoVadis in between rating periods, and understand the value of their rating as a marketing and market leadership tool to extend the EcoVadis brand presence. Community-building among rated companies is an additional opportunity to showcase the value proposition and support improvement in sustainability. 
  • Develop an additional Rated Company revenue business for net new companies with propensity and use for a sustainability rating, via creative marketing campaigns, alliances, and outreach strategies.
  • Work with training partners and the Community of Practice team to create e-learning and other improvement opportunities for Rated Companies - focusing on driving positive impact.
  • Manage packaging and pricing options and opportunities.
  • The team will drive references, advocacy and community programs for Rated Companies.
  • Work with customer satisfaction on the Net Promoter process and continually improve NPS and satisfaction metrics.
  • Engage third party partners and vendors as needed for program support.
  • As a high-growth business, you may contribute to other projects as the need arises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or masters degree in marketing, communication, business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in audience or customer marketing or product management, and at least 10 years total professional experience.
  • The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and independent, while still able to excel when working with others across functional teams. 
  • Enthusiasm for customers and being a champion for their experience is a must!  You are outgoing, personable, creative and passionate.
  • The ideal candidate should have previous experience in customer marketing with both large enterprises and with suppliers or smaller companies, in the B2B solutions/software space.  Experience with a 2-sided (buyer/supplier) business model is a significant plus.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM (Salesforce and Pardot a plus); mastery of standard office tools (MS and Google Office).
  • Solid experience working on events - conferences, roadshows, webinars, user groups / workshops and more.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Comfortable with managing detailed processes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Have a discipline of data-driven marketing, monitoring KPIs and measuring ROI.
  • Comfortable running multiple projects from brief level through to completion.
  • Fluent English (additional languages a significant plus).
