Job Description

This role reports directly to the Group Director - Sales Development and Mid Market Divisions and will be responsible for managing both the Sales Development and Mid Market Sales teams in the DACH region comprising the territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Sales Team Lead’s primary goals will be maximizing the company’s new business revenue, increasing market share and generating demand in the assigned region.

The Sales Team Lead will have among other responsibilities the following tasks:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3 Mid-market Account Executives and 3 Sales Development Representatives,
  • Implement and execute an inbound and outbound sales strategy for the assigned regions in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director,
  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing and develop sales strategies to acquire new customers or clients in the Mid-market segment,
  • Track sales team metrics and share them with company leadership,
  • Analyze sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps,
  • Work cross functionally with other sales managers or executives from other BUs to execute the team’s strategy. For example, collaborating with marketing to generate mqls through targeted campaigns, or with Customer Success Management to make sure customer needs are met,
  • Recruit, select, onboard, and train new sales reps,
  • Ensure that reps use sales technologies, such as Salesforce and Salesloft in accordance with the company standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a sales role,
  • 3+ years experience managing a sales team in the DACH region,
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills,
  • Analytical mindset and leverage data across all interactions,
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns,
  • Native German speaker with strong communication skills in written and verbal,
  • Experience in developing business in at least one of the assigned markets (Germany, Austria Switzerland),
  • Interest and passion for sustainability.
